When do tickets go on sale for Wild Lights?

When is Wild Lights taking place?

Wild Lights opens on Thursday, 1st November 2018 and runs until Sunday, 6th January 2019.

Please see evenings available on selected months:

November: Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

December: Every evening (Monday - Sunday).
However, it will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day

January: Tuesday 1st January - Sunday, 6th January

Opening Times

Admission to Wild Lights is from 5pm - 9pm.

Last entry to the event is strictly 8pm.

Note: Children and visitors under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times and teenagers may be required to show ID.

Visitor Recommendation: Entry to Wild Lights is busiest between 5pm-6pm, so there may be some queuing time for visitors. Entry will be quicker from 6pm onwards. Last entry is 8pm.  Performances which take place later in the evening will also be less busy. 

Terms of Entry

  • Tickets must be pre-booked online only at www.dublinzoo.ie
  • E-ticket or printed ticket must be presented on entry.
  • Last admission strictly 8pm.
  • Annual Pass Holders must present their Wild Lights ticket and annual pass card for entry.
  • Under 3s are free but must have a ticket.
  • In line with standard protocol for recent events, backpacks and large bags will not be permitted. Only small bags measuring no bigger than A4 (8.27in/21cm x 11.7/ 29.7cm) will be permitted into the venue.
  • Permission must be obtained for all filming and photography for commercial purposes.
  • Children under 16 will not be admitted without an adult.
  • Dublin Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission.
  • Parking at owner's risk.

Wild Lights Entry Rules

  • It is prohibited to take any of the following into Dublin Zoo:

  • Any weapons, fireworks, smoke bombs, glass bottles, blades flammable liquids, portable BBQs or other articles that could cause injury
  • Skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates, bikes, scooters and other forms of personal transport
  • Balls, Frisbees or similar items
  • Pets or animals of any nature
  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs of any kind
