Conservation Lecture: Living with Lynx – Sharing Landscapes with Big Cats, Wolves and Bears
Special Events
Fri, 7th March - Fri, 7th March
6:30 pm
Suitable for Adults and children aged 12 years and over
Free, but pre-booking is required.
Join environmental social scientist, snow leopard conservationist and former community farmer Dr Jonny Hanson for a talk about his first book. ‘Living with Lynx: Sharing Landscapes with Big Cats, Wolves and Bears’ tackles a major question in conservation and rewilding: could and should we learn to live with these species again in Ireland and Britain? Jonny will also be talking about how he went from growing up in rural Monaghan to working on apex predator conservation all over the world, and will be screening a teaser of his forthcoming short film on snow leopard conservation in Nepal.
