Raptor Research and Monitoring
Since 2015 Dublin Zoo has provided funding on owl research and monitoring focusing on barn owls and long-eared owls to Birdwatch Ireland. In 2017, Dublin Zoo agreed to provide funding for a three-year project focusing on barn owls, long-eared owls and kestrels. Barn owls are a Red-listed species in Ireland and the kestrel is an Amber-listed species.
