Working with Selamatkan Yaki on the conservation of Sulawesi crested macaques

‘Selamatkan Yaki’ means ‘Save the Sulawesi crested macaque’ in Indonesian. It is the name of a fantastic and effective conservation group established to save the critically endangered Sulawesi crested macaque, or yaki, which is only found in northern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Dublin Zoo has been supporting Selamatkan Yaki since 2010.

In January 2016, Harry Hilser, programme manager of Selamatkan Yaki, gave a presentation in Dublin Zoo on the work of his organisation in Sulawesi to protect the critically endangered Sulawesi crested macaques.
