School Visits

Dublin Zoo is a living classroom with over 70 species of animals, making it the perfect place to learn about nature and wildlife. Preschool, primary and secondary classes are catered for with a number of different curriculum-linked programmes.

Standard Group Visit

  • Free entry for group organiser and coach driver*
  • Free familiarisation visit for group organiser*
  • One €5 voucher for the coach driver to be used in Meerkat restaurant or the Dublin Zoo gift shop**
  • Fast track entry and restaurant bookings available

* Valid only for bona fide group organisers and drivers with a qualifying number of visitors. Proof of identity may be required.

** Available at entrance gate. Proof of identity required.

Guided tours & Educational talks for groups

We offer guided tours for groups of 10 or more visitors

  • Tours are subject to availability and we recommend booking 3-4 weeks in advance of your visit
  • Tours are approximately one hour in duration
  • Most tours are centred on our animals but we can also offer tours on: The History of Dublin Zoo, Conservation and Endangered Species, The Role of the Modern Zoo

The zoo was clean, staff friendly and the most important part is the animals seem happy. They have big enclosures and plenty of hiding places. I liked that there was islands for them to mix with other breeds.
